They probably did want Sparrabeth, but, like the writers of Friends with the Ross/Rachel thing, they probably figured the Willabeth fans would hunt them down with torches or something

I honestly think they wanted Willabeth from the very beginning but failed to change their plans to Sparrabeth because either:
1) They were too stubborn 2) They didn't realize Sparrabeth is a bit more popular. 3) They were idiots. I remember Tanith stated that the two Pirate films (DMC and AWE) were filmed basically back to back. This probably meant the Sparrabeth chemistry didn't have enough time to be touched upon the writers. Sucks for them. __________________

Hey guys
 Yeah, DMC and AWE were made together so I think it was a case of they didn't realize how DMC was going to turn out - meaning they didn't realize that Sparrabeth was going to become the overwhelming favorite. They wrote AWE while they wrote DMC so they never had a chance to gauge the audience response. Sucks big time for us  __________________

yeah it does, though maybe just maybe we will get our Sparrowbeth fix. If they do another one Sparrowbeth seems like their only real opotion.

well if not then at least we have the sparrowbeth memories from dmc. and even from cotbp - such as the 'peas in a pod' deleted scene

I think that maybe the "It never would have worked out between us Jack." "Keep telling yourself that, love" was defintely forshadowing of whats to come.
