You know i have been thinking...Kevin repeatedly mentioned in his eulogy hw whitney doubted if she was good enuff & pretty enuff....i am beginning to think Kevin told Whitney he loved her but Whutney didn't belief him and said she wasn't pretty enuff for him and that kevin jsut liked her ( kevin mentions in his eulogy" people didn't just like u, they loved u)..So i think, her insecurities kept her from being with costner
BTW..Anything Kevin says in his eulogy as "we", "people", "our", i think he really means "I". he generalizes to make it less obvious hw he feels.
