^ it's never really said where Madi came from, she was just the last survivor in Shallow Valley/Eden, her origin is unknown except she was a nightblood, like Lexa. Luna ran away from her conclave, instead of fighting Lexa, her origin is unknown also. there are lots of threads the writers never explored or just dropped when jatan destroyed everything in 307. there is lots of mystery there, good thing jatan can never touch anything in headcanon, fanfiction, or fandom. i agree, that fanart is amazing.
