I was listening to Supergirl Radio's "Brainiac 5 Spotlight" yesterday while trudging through another long work day. There's lots of great Kara/Brainy info about their relationship in the comics, and just Brainy in general (comics, cartoons, tv shows, and Supergirl).

There's also a good point made about the nature of Kara/Brainy's relationship, and it's one which I myself have stood by - the perfect guy for Kara is the one who will give her the tools she needs to do her thing and just let her be awesome, rather than trying to save the day himself. It's something I really hope we get to see on the show with these two:

So this year's SuperFlarrow crossover is called "Elseworlds".

"Elseworlds" is actually the name of a line of comics that tell stories outside of regular continuity.

One of those Elseworlds stories was called "Kingdom Come" and included a Legion made up of other Legion members' offspring. This is where XTC - Brainiac 5 and Supergirl's daughter - comes from.

Since Barry/Iris got to meet their future daughter, wouldn't it be fun if we get to meet Brainy/Kara's daughter?

I doubt that's going to happen, but I figured it was worth putting out there .

I'm surprised no one has posted about the season premiere yet. We got some good KaraDox stuff, even if it was platonic:

* Kara defending Brainy to Alex (loved this! She has his back).

* Brainy coming to Kara's aid using his flight ring, then hacking into the tech on her ankles

Kara: Brainy!
Brainy (dramatically): It is I! You are free now, Supergirl!
Kara: Free? The cuffs are still--
Brainy: Opened? I was multi-tasking.

(I loved this little exchange)

* Brainy watching Kara go off and kick butt without getting all caveman "must protect woman" on her (thank goodness).

* One-on-one phone calls with with some fun banter thrown in

Kara: Brainy, what's up?
Brainy: Definitely not me...

* Seeing Kara working strictly with Brainy for all the Supergirl/DEO stuff

I really hope Brainy continues to be Kara’s main backup this season, and we get more of the two of them just investigating stuff together.

In previous seasons, it seemed like Kara had the whole DEO as an audience when she was off on a superhero assignment. She doesn't need all that, she just needs her "man in the van" to have her back and come to her aid if required.

I hope they start referring to each other as "my partner" (like cops do) as they continue to have each other's backs.

I hope the Brainy/Kara partnership includes Brainy going out into the field with Reporter!Kara to investigate Agent Liberty shenanigans.

Even better -- one of those really trope-y "undercover couple" episodes where they have to keep up the act through the whole episode. That would be fun .

That was a nice little moment and even Lena noticed his sadness over Kara.

Also... let's pretend that any talk of "Streaky" is Brainy's code for "I'm secretly in-love you"
