yea you are probably right...
but Jacob did he think that Bella had choosen him? i mean why does he say when she visits him "i didnt want you to do this alone..i was hoping id be with you" meaning when she would tell Edward about them.... its like his words gave me the impression he thought Bella choose him and he wanted to be with her when they would annouce to Edward the news...you know?....and afterwards he understands Bella would never ever leave Edward....when she says how understanding (insanely so...IMHO ) he was..... im feeling a bit lost with Eclipse and upset which i why i keep rereading it non stop edited to add: thanx for adding me bb  __________________

He basically admits in that scene that he knew he was fighting a losing battle the whole time, but he tried anyway. That whole speech confirms it, "the clouds I can handle... but I can't fight with an eclipse."
Bella spends most of the book arguing that she loves Edward and Jake's like family to her, which is why the whole romantic angle is WAY too weird IMO.  __________________
