I think in my mind GG would have ended at the end of 5x19

Although maybe things could have gone up to 5x24, but just ended differently. I knew how unlikely it was, but I couldn't help that Blair was going to choose Dan & Dan was going to turn down Serena, because that would be a parallel that would actually work. It would show that Dan's the right guy for her because he didn't sleep with Serena & he would have waited for her & it would have shown Blair finally letting go of Chuck.
