Damon/Elena - how contrived. It wasn't the worst scene they've ever had but it had me rolling my eyes. Kind of saw that one coming a mile off, once Katherine started acting shady about the phone.
Stefan/Elena - I think the genuinely love each other, and I don't think he's bad for her per se (well, right now he is ), but I hate how their story lines are handled. It's always in the most melodramatic way possible. They could've gone a lot of places with Stefan tonight. The compulsion felt like a cop-out. |

Tyler/Caroline jeez, how FORCED a couple can get?! Literally everything about them is so predictable and lame. I could tell from the start they were going to get together and taking how weak and whiny Caroline is with him I could predict that she would give him a free pass for all his crap always as well. And now writers are trying to force a non-entity Tyler down our throats by making him epic and relevent, but it only makes this pairing even more forced and contrived. Basically, all their "build up" consisted of Tyler's shirtless scenes, werewolf drama boredom, Tyler being a crappy friend, Caroline being all googly eyes on him, "You're horny I'm horny" sex, Tyler suddenly turning into a super heri and now they are gonna be together for eternity??? No, writers, this is NOT how you write romance.
