New thread, a new reason to hate Damon.

He. Killed. Lexi.

He killed her. Sweet, funny, awesome Lexi. And he framed her for a murder he committed and then killed her, all to serve his own selfish interests. Oh, of course he doesn't even admit what a horrible monster he is, he claims that he was trying to protect his brother from being noticed. Well, in case you didn't realise, Damon, your brother was doing just fine keeping a low profile until you turned up and started killing a load of people for fun. It is all your fault. And Stefan, you definitely did miss then. After everything he has done, he deserves a wooden pole straight through his aorta.

Damon/Life - I honestly haven't hated a fictional character this much since Riley Finn, and that's saying something.
Matt/Caroline - Blech.
Stefan/Elena - Double-blech.

Hmmm... let's see.. Oh wait, you'll love this. He basically 'Carolines' Andi, some reporter chick/plaything (meaning he mind rapes/rapes and physically abuses her too) and when Stefan calls him out on it, he says he's doing it to "keep himself from going after Elena".
And you will also have to sit through Damon crying every alternate episode because 'he can't be who Elena wants him to be'... True love. Right there.

I don't think I will ever be able to forgive Damon after 162 Candles. Every time I think he can't sink lower, he does. And there is no way he could make up for murdering his brother's oldest and dearest friend, the only person in his life who made him smile, right before his very eyes. There is no way he could get worse from here-on-in...

^The thing is, I'm not a full-blown Damon-hater. Yes, I know he did horrible things. But atleast during some instances he does show genuine signs of remorse and affection. Just when I think I can forgive him for all that he's done, BAM !! He out-does himself. Season 2 is more of self-pitying, whiny, emo Damon who thinks he has every right to be crappy to people because both the women he loved/loves have rejected him and chosen Stefan over him.

I guess I'll wait it out and see if I can see something I like in him eventually. It's a pity really, he could be a great character. He can be entertaining at least with some great one-liners, and Ian Somerhalder is a tremendous actor. But every witty remark and every tiny act of decency is undermined every time he breaks out the creepy abusive boyfriend thing (Caroline is my favourite character and I cannot stand how glib he is about everything he did to her), or every time he does something just completely evil (killing Lexi).

Speaking of characters that I cannot stand:



James Cook/Existence a character with a GIANT potential that was so terribly wasted on a ridiculous Ceffy SL. Worshipped by one of the writers aka JB this character never proved any kind of a growth through the series. Sold as a "bad ass" and a "dark and complex" character he failed miserably at fulfilling the writers' plan of making him this way. It was obvious that the writers designed him as a character that they thought would resemble the kind of characters that I usually end up liking: Sawyer, Spike, Eric, Damon. However, there is a billion reasons of why those characters are win while James "the Cookie Monster" ended up being an epic fail.

Lets begin with the fact that Skins is the British maza ing show! The one that claims to be original and relatable for teenagers. And this British show introduce me to a dumb, cliched hollywood like parody on a tortured epic hero with an in-your-face type of behaviour, a superiority complex and daddy issues that where supposed to make him sympathetic and make us, fans, root for him to get the girl. And it is totally ok if he treats his best friend, who does so much for him, like an unworthy little creature, constantly stabbing him in a back, constantly seeking for his help and attention and betraying him right after getting all of it. James, how about DIAF? Also writers, in a world of Skins, where every character has an effed up family life it is rather hard to make Cookie's "pity me" thing anywhere near appealing. But apperently those decent characters that where not honored by cheesy lines like "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey" and that didn't evolve into criminals/stalkers cannot feel as "deep" as our Cookie monster. See Cook telling a girl who doesn't love or want him that he'd "do it all again" and betray his best friend again only to FAIL it with her and be rejected. See Cook telling his friend to "grow up" (an eternal lmao, JB. Your bitter fangirling over Cookie Monster led us to a crapfest that 4X07 was and oh, led YOUR show to horrible raitings for gen 2 final and even worse raitings for gen 3) not too long before this friend was possibly brutally murdered by a psycho, trying to protect a girl he loved - a girl that Cookie claimed to love too and yet didn't do a THING for her, to take care of her or to make her better. Oh, no, sorry, my mistake - he did SLAP her in a face when she got hysterical And finally, the final. This glorious episode where ALL the characters where ignored, where everyone got contrived or cheesy or unrealistic endings (including this chick.. what's her name.. oh, Effy Stonem! The girl who was the bleeding female lead of gen 2 and was on the series since the beginning), however, our Cookie monster got a chance to play a Halk card with his idiotic "I'm Coooooooook!" thing. Dear Skins writers, I really hope I'll never see a fail like this on your show and also next time you get someone with Jack's awesome acting skills, please use it properly and dont waste a potential of a character that could have been epic but ended up being an epic fail.

PS: and it will be weird if I right now say that I LOVE the idea of Cook. I love the potential, but sadly, for me he never worked outside of this idea. From a free spirited womanizer who can drink vodka and eat cake at the same time that I could have actually loved, writers turned him into what they turned him.


Cook/Effy (from the previous thread) A womanizing jerk who slept with a hell load of girls and done loads of sex suddenly "decided" that he loves one of the girls he happened to screw right after she chose his best friend over him Womanizer turns into a whiny, weepy, annoying and posessive bastard ( because this girl prefered to stay with his best friend) with lines that would make Lucas Scott or Backstreet Boys jealus (aka "It's you and me, babe, it's always gonna be you and me!" or "It's not about the destination, it's about a journey") and keeps treating his best friend who was his only family like crap because of the girl who doesn't even want him. For a British tv show where such SL's look ridiculous to say the least it was just embarresing to have this fail that is known as "Ceffy". Not to mention that even if we try to find the "depth" in this fail we will see that Effy never opened up to Cook, used him, was never honest with him and he enjoyed hurting her and was never there for her through her darkest times. All that time she was loved and in love with another guy aka Cook's best friend. Cook's character and Freddie/Cook friendship where destroyed. Yes, Skins, you've done well!


Cook/Naomi thankfully it never happened, because if it had, it would have been Ceffy 2.0. He would have always been second best for her and we know how it ends up for Cooksus: he turns into a whiny, weepy, annoying posessive bastard that hits innocent by passers in a face

Wesley/Life my most hated character of all time.

Love these threads. Even though I don't watch Vampire Diaries, I quite get that this Damon character is quite disgusting

Harry/Ginny-could have worked, but seemed so empty.
Season 5 Buffy/Riley-get over yourself, whiny boy
Anya/Xander (she just annoyed me most of the time), he was not a favourite either
Kelly/Dylan-Dylan lost all respect when he cheated on Brenda like that, at least Kelly felt guilty

They really are Well, of course I am baised and we all are and everyone is entitled to their opinion Speaking of Jate and Suliet, I think I should repost my rants from the previous thread:

Jack/Kate emotionally abusive, unconvincing, cliched. Have two people meet each other first and make them end up together skipping any kind of a build up of their actual relationship, dedicating only one single episode to show the trainwreck of it and how a girl was willing to make her engagement with a guy be destroyed because of her loyalty to another man whom she could never see again. Show me how a guy turns into a posessive psycho because he is obsessed with the idea of a girl whom he doesn't even know for real, because she never opened up to him. Destroyed both characters. I am one of those rare anti-Jaters that did like Jack in the beginning of the show and thought he has a potential. Jate killed this potential totally.

Jimmy/Juju or Sawyer/Juliet epic couple is epic! Sniff a flower, eat pasta, then keep pining for another woman whom you haven't seen for years. And don't forget to fail to convince your current "love interest" that you love her not less than that other woman, because she totally needs to blow herself & everyone else up because of her insecurities. What an epic romance!

Spuffy at heart

I started to like Dylan and Brenda in season four, but the way Dylan behaved in season three like he didn´t care for Brenda and her feelings That is not a way to tell a lovestory, he should have at least show that he cares if he hurt her... That is the reason I could the never ship...

Dylan and Kelly: There is something about that couple that make e dislike both of their characters. Kelly was acted jalous most of the time. Dylan also like with Brenda acted with Kelly like he didn´t care for her at all. I could never buy any Dylan romance, I didn´t felt like he really was in love with one of them in the way: "I can´t live without you."
