Castle/Beckett
Last night's premiere was a perfect demonstration of why Castle/Beckett is one of my top OTPs; in fact, they might even be my all-time favorite OTP, and that's saying a lot. They are finally together, after 4 seasons of buildup, and Marlowe was right: everything previous to this was only a very protracted beginning. Now their story can really get rolling. Their relationship has subtle changes in it, but nothing major. They're still the same Castle and Beckett I love; only now, they're together, and their partnership really displays that. There is a lightness, a comfort, a surety, to their interactions so far in this season that is so welcome after a long season of angst. I don't think their magic is going to fade at all now that they're together; if anything, they are only going to get more interesting, as they continue to try to navigate this newfound relationship. This season is shaping up to be one of the best yet, at least in regard to Castle and Beckett's relationship.    #castlelovesbeckett  http://behindgreeneyess.tumblr.com/       most certainly not Kate Beckett/Life BAMFest character to ever BAMF. Kate is such a strong, badass character, but there is a fragility, a brokenness, a vulnerability, to her that just breaks my heart. She's lost so much, but she's still fighting. She never gives up. She never backs down. She's also a character that consistently grows, that never lets herself get stuck in a rut: she makes mistakes, but she also learns from those mistakes. Her scene with the Senator in the last episode just absolutely broke my heart, because of the anger and the fear and the frustration and the overwhelming sadness and just everything.
