I forget, in "Birthday", I know Skip basically tells Cordelia that by she & Angel meeting in LA, she changed his life for the better and essentially saved him from a dark fate. I can't remember if in S4, Skip admits that part was BS....

^^ The only thing I liked about that episode with Skip (4x17) was that even Skip recognized how much in love with Cordelia Angel was, and he said himself "she's still the woman I..." so he had that conflict in killing the woman he still loved. I appreciated that... If nothing else.

Ugh I don't buy any of that! Hate when writers play out a story and then try to say "nevermind" in a span of a few sentences in order to fit their messed up versions.

The whole thing that Skip was saying was very disturbing on the writers' part. I don't think Skip was manipulating them; I think it was all part of season 4's effort to destroy Cordelia and make it sound as if the Connor pregnancy was planned all along when it clearly wasn't.

The Darla and Angel thing really hurt the show, and how it was used to punish Charisma for getting pregnant was even more nasty.

Agreed. They should have just let Cangel play out naturally as was meant to.

They seriously thought YOU'RE WELCOME redeemed the terrible way they handled the whole thing that episode was amazing for them, but it doesn't change that the show was basically dead after 'Waiting in the Wings'.

What's sad to me about how everything supposedly connects in the Skip crap thing is that if the SL's weren't so terrible making things like those connect to each other could be considered great writing.

I've seen that type of writing on other shows connect things brilliantly with amazing stuff in the past.
