I'm not saying it wouldn't be interesting, but it would be difficult to write consistently, especially for Dan. I don't think his general plot types would work with that, and I feel like he'd end up massacring one or both of the characters instead of straining his writing to accommodate.

Does anyone else think that Sam will just eat Cat alive so to speak? I mean Sam is so abrasive and she doesn't tolerate fools. So I'm kind of wondering how this pairing will even work. Because let's face it Dan writes Cat as incredibly naive and kind of dumb at times and that's putting it kind of mildly. It's going to be like how Jade is with Cat only like 10 times worse. So yeah not generally into the idea of this spinoff. Plus it totally ruins the possibility of Cat and Robbie unless he ends up on the show at some point. But hey if means good things for Creddie then I am all for it.

It'll probably be where the first episode is dedicated to them reaching an understanding. Knowing Cat if Sam snaps off like she usually does Cat will start crying.

It's possible they may replace the Carly-Sam dynamic with Cat-Sam. Carly can be sensitive (not oversensitive like Cat, of course), but Sam is always nice to her.

Plus as we know, by her own admission, nice people nausiate Sam and it took her years to get used to Carly being nice. She either needs a total personality transplant or they could never function together.

I should probably start on the next chapter of iAY soon, but I'm struggling for inspiration beyond the next part of it.

Most of my writing recently has focused on my new Freddie/Cat story, which is turning out to be good fun to write.

I had my first (that I know of) plagiarism to deal with as well this weekend; someone literally c&p'd the first chapter of Freddie Goes To Hollywood, changed a couple of words here and there (to make it Freddie/Trina) then submitted it.

I was not happy.

They did? Wow, I hope no one tries that with any of my stories, I hope you got it taken care of.

I called them out in a review (what upset me the most was that they'd asked me for advice in writing in the first place, then turn round and steal my work); they threw a fit (claiming it was "similar" and "inspired by" - no, it was my story with a handful of words changed) and deleted ALL their work, vowing never to return. They won't be missed.

I was actually alerted to it by another user, who'd reviewed one of my stories in the past and we'd that had a short PM dialogue about.

Yeah. I wouldn't have cared if it had been just "inspired by"; i.e. starting at the same point and for basically the same reasons - it's not a particularly unique interpretation - but to take the whole chapter and not expect anyone to notice? And then to claim how much they enjoyed writing the story?

It irked me a little.
