I know EXACTLY what you mean! I'm the same way So for me to see something there. They were definitely planting seeds That whole episode where they are practicing getting through the walls was HUGE Also, I realized on my rewatch, that they had a lot more meaningful scenes through out the show than I originally thought. __________________

That's exactly what happened with me! I thought it was just people shipping them because that's what some people do these days
But then I saw it and was like woah Also I LOVED the line you have in the OP "don't hate what you are, what you are is beautiful"  That line is amazing.__________________
