The haters are everywhere, and right now I'm glad they just shot episode 8, so that Shonda can't decide differently about their future.

Seems that nobody likes Alex and Izzie together. And this is only because of the last scene. I can't understand Shonda. I never will. She destroys her couple before the build up.

I don't think the last scene was about Lexzie. for me it was more about Alex. I think Shonda wanted to show us that he's still a long way to go till he is the man he wants to be. the scene in which he talked to the patient's wife actually gave so much insight in his character.
I think he's afraid of changing. he's afraid that it's for nothing that Izzie won't forgive him anyway. that made him go pick someone up from the bar I guess. that's what he can do. that's something he's good in and doesn't want to worry about.
