I guess that was, why it took him so long to read his letter.. I guess if Blake wouldn't have pushed, he never would have.. he was hurt so deeply and lost all his faith and trust in Ted

Yep - it would've been so hard to read that letter - knowing it was your best friend turned lover turned addict who relied on someone else and not you - not knowing what it was going to say or how you would feel about it
