A history of cancer in the family is essential to know .. no matter where! Both of my partner's parents died of cancer .. and he was always being tested when we lived in France. Not so much when we moved back to the UK!

That really is neccessaary to know, no matter what kind of cancer, and to get tested if there is a history in the family doesn't hurt... but even without a backgroun you can't be sure..
