I don't think Mel smoked during her pregnancy. Did she actually smoke period?

I also don't think she smoked while she was pregnant. I don't even know if she smoked at all in S3 and 4. She tried to quiet in S1 and suffered a relapse during the crises with Lindsay.

And seriously any thoughts on that second pregnancy for L/M couple? Do you think it was a good idea? Good storyline?

I don't know if it was a good storyline, but having a sister myself, I think it's often better for a kid to have a sibling. Don't get me wrong, I know very nice only childs, but personally, if I was a mother, I would prefer to have two children.

You didn't like the fact, that they chose Michael, did you? Maybe it wasn't the best decision

Actually I didn't like it not because it was Michael but because it wasn't Brian. I found it unnecessarily complicating the situation. I just think it'd be preferable for the kids to have one biological parent in common

And you're the nicest only childs I know on the web . Besides, there are probably a lot of advantages you don't have if you've got a sibling. I just wanted to say, that I understand the wish to have two children.

Of course it's preferable to have one biological parent in common, but nowadays there are so many patch-work families it's not so unusual that kids grow up with each other, without beeing related by blood.

But it would be really interesting if Brian was the father. Brian and Mel as parents, what an explosive combination

Oh I know it's not unusual but here we're talking about a lesbian couple having one kid with a gay man. That already can be quite difficult for the kid socially and legally speaking. And then deciding to have other mother have a child with another gay man. Which IMO only doubles the problems the kids can have. It's all shiny and pretty now but what if something happens to one of the mothers? What if something happens to both of them? It just unnecessarily complicates the situation and I think that Mel as egocentric as she can be didn't really focus on that aspect of their family. She didn't want Brian and she had it her way without thinking about consequences for the kids. But hey if something happens I guess CowLip can always magically make appear a very liberal judge or a new law and it's gonna be all good again...

You know, I can totally imagine a child of Brian and Mel during puberty. It would be a complete nightmare and Brian would probably go crazy, since he won't run, because leaving his child isn't something he would do. So, Brian would have to suffer.
