ok so what do you want to discuss?
The closing down of the backroom! :smirk:
Okay, okay, I'll try to think of something better. :P |
Heee we can always talk about Mel's elephant like long pregnancy :lmao:
haha yeah that was one long pregnancy
Looks like Mel's alien pregnancy killed this thread :lmao:
How long lastet her pregnancy? 10 month? 11?
What about Stockwell? Don't get me wrong, I think he's completely disagreeable person, but I wonder about his motivations. Do you think he was a homophob and wanted to see them all dead, like Justin put it, or did he just pick on the guys of Liberty Av. in order to win the election? |
A year at least if we consider one season=one year but considering CowLip screwing the timeline who knows for sure
See that's another character that confuses me. Because I honestly don't think he was as bad as Justin said he was. He was probably just as homophobic as Carl was in the beginning - the kind of homophobia that comes out of lack of any contact with gay community, general ignorance or just stereotyped image but since he was playing in politics he thought a "family friendly" campaign would appeal to the voters. I don't think he was a homophobe of the worst kind aka religious fanatics. |
I totally agree, Do  I'm just thinking of the scene after he got to know about Brian's sexual preferences. I didn't get the impression he fired him, because of the fact he was gay, but rather because he was afraid it could have a negative impact on his oh-so-precious campaign. And he reinstated Brian as soon as he could use him for his intentions. Would a fanatic homophobe of the worst kind really do something like that?
I agree he might've been ignorant of what goes on in the gay community.

If I remember correctly the drug incident at Babylon was the catalyst for the 'family-friendly-Pittsburgh' campaign. Do you think Stockwell would have gone about this the same way if it happened in a straight dance club? |
Such things happen in straight clubs just as often as in gay ones, it's not a question of sexual orientation but of the club scene in general. It's just easier to point out the minority to be the problem... I guess he wouldn't even know if something like that happened in a straight club. I don't see people reporting this to him to use as an argument in his campaign.
