I'm sure that was the reason for the whole thing, but it just was so unneccessaryy.. I mean you are right.. in season 1 Brian wanted to celebrate with Justin, and all of a sudden birthdays didn't count anymore?

Brian was always switching up.

I do think it's realistic that we start to see him come out of his shell and let love in, then recluse. I've known people like that in real life. I will say that Brian's evolution from s1-s5 is actually probably faster than would happen in real life. But yes, in that particular episode it did seem weird and ridiculous and like WTF.

Makes sense. In the QAF book, they mentioned something about Brian not really wanting love and relationships because his parents' relationship was so bad and a horrible example of "love". Which is so true. So he was always resisting.

True. They were a terrible example. They also didn't love him, so he didn't really know how to give love on his own.

That's true Thankfully he at least had Michael and Debbie. But he was already messed up at that point.

I just watched "Pride" last night, and i gotta say I was disappointed that Brian didn't get to see Mikey in drag. I would've loved to have seen his reaction. (I'm sure he would've laughed).

Also, I totally didn't remember him pulling Mikey over to dance at the end. And he's still got a lot of makeup on.

Agreed. They had so much to pack in. They did a fantastic job, but too bad it couldn't have been a special double episode.

there would have been so many things to tell, so a season easily would have filled 24 episodes

I wonder why they switched to much shorter seasons, halfway through the series.

Yeah I wondered that as well. It's not as if the show wasn't popular. I would have loved full seasons.

Me too...

I'm kind of sad they didn't hit the 100 episode mark.
