I use HULU. It's 5.99 a month but to get QAF you have to also purchase the Showtime package for an additional $8. I'm not sure anyone would be interested and paying more than what Netflix was charging, however if you prefer streaming, it's considerable. I don't think they can delete a show from a package that you have to pay additional money for... but I honestly wouldn't put it past them either. But in the meantime, QAF is still very much apart of HULU's catalog.

Interview with Craig Kelly, who played Vince, about the reboot. |
Thanks for posting that article, Chris. It was interesting to read his thoughts about his BK counterpart and overall nature of the show. A very good read.
But like the U.S. edition of the show, if a reboot gets made, I don't think any (except that 1) of the originals are returning. It will most likely be a new cast of people because they want to keep recapturing that youthful spirit of the show, so they want to have it. |
Awesome article!! :)

I haven't read it yet, but I love Craig. But I don't know about older folks in this, unless they are dads of a new cast. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
|
I liked reading his insight on it. I thought it was funny that he watched "some" of the US version, and that he thought the US cast were prettier.

They're having a 20th anniversary celebration in Manchester, and Craig Kelly will be there. :) Quote:
That was a lot of the criticism I saw on YouTube from the UK audience, though. That the US characters were "too pretty". |
Nice to know

I'm not going to lie, I've always found the actors of the U.S. edition a tad bit more attractive as well. Which is not to say the U.K. actors aren't. :)

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, since it's technically not QAF news, but QAF is mentioned inside this article about SHOWTIME's L Word sequel, coming later this year. Though I did like The L Word and will probably watch this, it's like, c'mon? They can do this show with the original cast, but not QAF?
Here's the excerpt about QAF: When The L Word premiered in 2004, it was the first to ever focus solely on the lives of lesbian, bi, and queer women, premiering four years after Queer as Folk, also on Showtime, dramatically improved LGBTQ television representation. The L Word also broke ground in its portrayal of trans characters. Also, wait, are they saying that their representation on this show was way better than on QAF? Cause uhh, having seen both, that's just not true. https://www.advocate.com/television/...sp19-u5_dbkcQM |
hmm.. honestly. I still think there is a different backgrounf for not rebooting QaF.. :look: and I really don't believe articles anymore... they all lie you in the face.. somehow
|
True, nonetheless thank you for posting the article, Chris. Always good hearing about QAF in a media release, even if it's just a mere mention.

Thanks for the news
