I felt that the entire theme of this episode was about relationships between fathers and sons.

Yes, I really love that line.

Brian and Michael have somewhat of an unlikely friendship. How hot/confident Brian is, and how Michael is much more reserved and less direct, etc... I really love how close they are, and how Brian's BFF is someone who, personality-wise, is quite a bit different from him.

And nooooo Mikey, don't move in with the doctor!!

and there are so many details packed in one episode

it is so difficult to filter through it all with watching life

Brian had to realise that he wanted to be different like his dad was.. even being scared to fail at this goal.. in the end he wanted to give it a try.. he realised that it was what his dad did to him.. teach him a lesson that he couldn't count on his dad.. he didn't want to end this way

I'm so glad he had Michael growing up.

And to think some people perceive Brian as being an outright A

when he has been hurt by his terrible parents. The effects of growing up in dysfunction and emotional turmoil are everlasting.
