not only this but I call it bad journalism when Randy talks about a project in the past tense (tAB) and the interviewer doesn't press on him and asks if the projekt is still alive or not

He owns the apartment. It's a condo. But the mortgage payments must be steep (Though cheaper than if he had bought a place in Manhattan)

You are correct about the health care. Actors get health insurance via their membership in film and or stage agtors unions.

Randy belongs to Actors Equity.

In order to qualify for plan eligibility, an Equity member must have at least 12 weeks of covered employment in the previous four quarters (12 months) to qualify for SIX (6) months of coverage. If the member attains 20, or more weeks of covered employment in the previous four quarters (12 months), he will qualify for TWELVE (12) months of coverage. Participants are evaluated for health coverage eligibility four times per year.

I know how difficult it must have been for him but he went on...

I was just thinking about that ring around his neck and also after he performed Move Like Jagger at the OHP he looked up and said "Thanks mom" or something like that so I guess it had to do with that

I love him even more right now
/
There was so much speculation about the chain and then later the ring (including the fan who tried to infer at another discussion list the ring came from Gale!!!) Some of us knew of his mom's passing quite a few months ago and had the chain figured out. He called out "I love you mom" at the end of that OHP performance and it was a very short time before she passed away

Anyhow, I think it's slightly rude for everyone to talk about such a private and delicate matter here.

I for one would love to read anything he's written. He said he'd have been a writer if didn't become an actor. Just his way with words in interviews and his sense of humor make me think that anything he writes will be interesting to say the least.

Also love his self deprecating, "I play several instruments, badly"
Like I believe that he does anything badly.

I bet there are things which he does badly (didn't he once say something about being bad at waiting tables??)

but I'm sure that he's good at everything connected to art

We have something in common...though I play most instruments badly!

I read/heard about him being bad at waiting tables somewhere too Sabine, though lord knows where!

I wouldn't take anything he says about doing things badly seriously. He's very modest I do remember that interview however, he said he'd been fired from every job he tried to do including waiting tables and office jobs, acting was the only job he'd never been fired from.

I recall the one interview and it may have been when he, Gale and Hal made a QAF public appearance at a record store in NYC. (Tower Records?)He told the interviewer he waited tables at a TGIF in Atlanta (probably when he was in high school) and he kept breaking things. He also said that he was very accident prone and then proceeded to knock over a small display on the counter where he and the interviewer were standing (I may be combining two diffent interviews with this recollection)

I had no idea his mom had passed away
O dear, that's so sad. She wasn't that old was she? I mean, Randys my age so his mom couldn't have been much older than my mom.
Poor little boy

I'd love to see that video of a clumsy Randy.
Personally I think a cute and adorable teenage Randy who kept breaking things should have been treasured by TGIF and not fired

unfortunatley it is was a newspaper interview. No video.

Those people at TGIF just did not appreciate what they had. LOL
