The best would be something in the middle: love through actions but also with some words, because I think most people like to hear those words every once in a while. But of course if you can't have that, actions are more important than words.

It isn't just the ILY though. Brian withheld any kind of nice word to Justin for a long while. I think that gets difficult for a person. It sure was for Justin at a certain point, when he needed some words of reassurance of what he meant to Brian and he could not get any.

it was obviously difficult for Justin when he needed to hear Brian saying he loves him and missed him ,esp after the Vermont insedent,but that was when things started going downhill for them.

it's so heasrtbreaking to watch Brian standing so close to Justin,kissing him and asking him if Ethan knows him as much as he (Brian ) does. I think it was Brian's way of telling Justin he's the one who really knows him intimatly like no other, and maybe it was even his way of admiting he loves him and doesn't want him to leave, but it wasn't really working,obviously.

yeah but they were to far gone right there. And if he hadn't effed rage at bablon i tihnk justin would stayed.

as much as I would have liked him to stay I think the writers made the right choise with Justin leaving.
I think both of them lost their focus and couldn't stop hurting each other at that point,so despite the fact I hated the cheating and the laying, I think it was a neccesary evil,sort of speak.

They needed time apart. And to figur out they really needed eachother and did miss eachother.

it was really a low point in their relationship,and it was very painfull to watch, but I think it was very realistic. I mean people do go through stuff like that, make mistakes, hurt each other,and even drift apart as they fall in love. it wasn't meant to be a fairy tale love story for BJ.

The breakup was necessary. Or better yet, inevitable. I don't see how they could have gone on like that.

I think BJ would have driffted away from each other anyway for a while even without the cheating, because they were causing each other too much heartach already even before Justin met Ethan.
I don't think they could have stayed away from each other too long so I think we might have had some sort of reunion anyway.
