Probably because Oliver a good person and it's in his nature to help. Maybe he also thinks this way he can keep an eye on "drug addict" Connor better this way?

The scene in this episode was great, I wish there was more of them but I'll take what I'm given. I think Connor has feelings for Oliver that he can't really express or show right now, he has a lot of other things going on in his life to think about.

I was SOOO happy to see Oliver in this episode. I love that Connor was obviously jealous that he was with someone. They've still got a spark there.
