Hot Seat Thread #1 - Because We Want To Know Absolutely Everything About You-Carmen
I thought since we're getting some new posters on the board this would be the perfect way for us to get to know each other.
The Rules: The person in the "hot seat" is asked any question - personal, Charisma related, etc. and they have to answer it. (Please don't make the questions too extreme or personal. Also, please remember to be respectful.) The person will be in the "hot seat" for about a week and then the first person to volunteer gets the spot after them. Past participants

What's your favorite movie?
To Kill a Mockingbird - it's one of those rare movies that's as good as the book. What's your favorite book? Pride & Prejudice - It's the book I pick up the most when I'm just looking for an enjoyable read. If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? Probably where I live. I'd love to move to another state but it's not really practical at the moment. __________________

What's your favorite tv show?
Of all time, it's Golden Girls. I've watched it so much I have most of the episodes memorized. Of shows currently airing, it's a toss-up between Heroes and Supernatural with Supernatural edging ahead because they've managed sustain the quality of the show into a second season and Jensen Ackles is just so pretty. Do you have a favorite author, if so who? I've loved Jane Austen since was I introduced to her in elementary school and she's remained a favorite. For newer authors, I love comedy so books by Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Charlaine Harris are must-reads for me. If you could move, which state would yiou choose? I'd move to North Carolina. My brother and his family live there and I've loved it everytime I've visited. Plus, I'd love to be close enough to see the kids more than once or twice a year. __________________

What's your favorite band or artist?
I don't really have a favorite since I tend to go through phases where I'll listen to one type of music non-stop for a few weeks then switch to something else. If I had to name one I'd go with Pat Benatar because I've been a fan for a really long time and she's one of the few artists that I was a fan of as a child that I still listen to today. What's your favorite song? I don't really have a favorite song but lately I've been getting really excited whenever I hear a song from Supernatural on the radio. Who would you choose between Cordelia and Kendall? I'd have to go with Cordelia. Despite the way they messed with the character near the end, she was fabulous for most of her run and one of the few in the 'verse to actually grow up. I really enjoyed Kendall and thought she had a lot of potential that they never built upon. In both cases, killing off the character was a stupid move. How many concerts have you been to? I went to the Tibetan Freedom Festival the year it was in DC which I think was 1998. Somebody spilled a beer down my back, a girl threw up on my shoes, and the person standing next to me on the field got struck by lightening. That was my first and only concert to date. I don't think concerts are really my thing. If you could meet anyone who would it be? Probably either of my grandfathers since they both died before I was born. __________________

shutterbug comes from one of my favorite hobbies which is photography, the numbers are part of my birthday What other usernames have you used? I love to read so I've used bibliophile before. I've also used silversonnet but I don't remember the thinking behind that one. What kind of music do you listen to? I listen to just about anything but rap. Classic rock is always my fall-back music so that would probably be my favorite type. I'm going through a country phase at the moment. What kind of movies do you like? I love comedies as long as they're not of the gross-out variety. I'm a big fan of musicals, especially older ones that have a lot of dancing. Who's your favorite actor/actress? Other than CC, I have several favorites. For older actors, I love Jimmy Stewart and Angela Lansbury. Of the more current actors I love Reese Witherspoon and Jensen Ackles. __________________

I love the Wizard of Oz and pretty much anything Debbie Reynolds has done; Singin' in the Rain, Susan Slept Here, I Love Melvin, etc. Grease and Annie are also pretty high on the list. Do you have a favorite song, if so what? I don't have an all-time favorite song but recently I've been slightly obsessed with Don't Fear (the Reaper) by Blue Oyster Cult. What's your favorite Jimmy Stewart movie? Harvey is my favorite Jimmy Stewart movie that has him in a starring role. I also love The Philiadelphia Story but he's more of a supporting character in that. __________________

What do you do for a living and how do you like it?
I currently work for a liaison company called Loose Ends. We handle the time consuming details and keep track of things for people that just need a bit of temporary help. We get a lot of brides that don't need wedding planners but need someone to make calls for them or keep track of appointments. I used to love my job because it was always different and usually fun but the company was sold last year and a lot of changes have been made that make it a less than enjoyable place to work. Do you have any siblings? If so, are you all close? I have two older brothers. One is two years older than me and the other is twelve years older. We get along but I wouldn't say we're close. I'm much closer to their kids than I am to either of them. If you could have one wish, what would it be? I think I'd wish for the perfect job. Either that or to win the lottery so I could retire young  I think that's a week for me. It was kind of fun. Who's next? __________________
