Coconut1214 05-24-2018 07:03 PM

Thanks for starting the thread, Alex.

PhoenixRising 05-24-2018 07:04 PM

Thanks, Tia. You're welcome.

And thanks for your Margot Kidder icon.

You're welcome, Melissa.

You're welcome, Dave! Goodnight! See you tomorrow!

eternalfate 05-24-2018 07:05 PM

^ Of course! You know how much I love Lois Lane, and of course I knew about Margot Kidder biopolar and stuff she overcame in real life so I was sad about the news.

Night, Dave.

PhoenixRising 05-24-2018 07:09 PM

Yeah, I heard about Margot's problems a while back. :( It was sad.

Of course, Teri Hatcher is still my favorite Lois Lane.

Coconut1214 05-24-2018 07:16 PM

There seems to be some kind of drama going on with Willa and the Arrow cast.

I don't think any shows' True Hollystory is going to be as sordid as the Smallville cast but the Arrowverse sure has a lot of drama.

What drama is that, Melissa?

OMG, I don't think I'll ever see Smallville the same way again.

Coconut1214 05-24-2018 07:43 PM

Apparently Willa's mother is starting drama with the cast and Willa unfollowed Stephen and Emily. Then there was some blind item about a superhero show that kicked off one it's cast because the leads didn't get along with her.

Oh man, really? :( I haven't heard about that. That's a shame if it's true. I thought they all got along great.

Make Them Laugh 05-25-2018 06:57 AM

sadly there are a lot of off-camera cast drama in shows and movies.... I remember some off-screen cast drama in the OC

eternalfate 05-25-2018 07:49 AM

^ Pretty much which is why I learned a lonnngg time ago to separate actors from characters. It made so many shows easy to watch.

Why so? it was only Sam with that drug issue and Allison with that crazy cult story but it hasn't been any other huge story from the cast that I know of.:look:

I feel Allison in the cult shouldn't bring down the rest of the big cast that they had.....

Well seeing as how Willa elected to leave Arrow this past season for good, I guess it was clear there were some issues backstage?

Erica Durance and Teri Hatcher are tied as my favorite because how similar the role was portrayed by both of them. It's really like looking in the mirror.

I do believe you need to watch it one day.:P Or at least let me take you down some of the best episodes of the series that way you can have an idea of how the show was. lol

Make Them Laugh 05-25-2018 09:17 AM

I hope Willa gets another great role soon...on tv please...

I'm sure she will.

Make Them Laugh 05-25-2018 01:24 PM

did they say Roy Harper was coming back next season... does that mean Nyssa, Thea and Roy gave up on trying to find the other "as Flash put it- hot tubs"

I saw a movie about the Fountain of Youth-- it turned out that time spent in the cave where it was . went by what got to be years slower. so the college students trapped in the cave spent less than a week there while the regular world aged over a 100 years.

eternalfate 05-25-2018 02:31 PM

Correct, Roy will be a series regular next season... I wonder how that will be done seeing as how Roy and Thea went off together with Nyssa.

Luckily this isn't a Soap Opera or Thea would have been recasted. :gone:

Make Them Laugh 05-25-2018 02:47 PM

I would hate to see Thea recasted....

Yeah, I think it was with Mischa if I'm not mistaken. :( And I'd hate to see Thea recast as well, but they may decide to do it if necessary. Gotham recast Ivy three times.

I guess so, Tia. :( It's still a shame that Willa didn't get along with Stephen and Emily when everyone else seems to be able to. Caity, Katie, Grant, David, Paul, and Colton all seem to. But it's great that Roy is back next season. I wonder what happened to Thea, though?

I don't think I'm gonna ever get into Smallville, Tia. I'd have too many issues with it now. :P Oh, and you know something? I was watching Gotham and I realized how much Morena Baccarin reminded me of Teri Hatcher and I thought that Morena would've made a great Lois Lane. Much better than Amy Adams. She'd also make a great Catwoman too. How many times to I have to tell Hollywood? Selina Kyle is NOT a blonde and Lois Lane is NOT a redhead?

I don't know, I think Willa and Stephen got along. I thought her issue was probably more backstage but who knows.

You should give it a try.:P Not that hard to do.
You won't have no issues, just an excuse you are using to not watch it Alex.:rotfl: It's the reason why all of these DC shows exist today.:P

Amy Adams is doing great... I guess I love how much Amy fought for the role to ultimately get it...

Actually Alex, Lois was a red hair in some comics.:lmao: Sorry, Dave. lol
Of course Lois was usually a brunette but she did appear in some comics with the red hair.

Make Them Laugh 05-25-2018 06:29 PM

I just watched a cool cartoon movie called Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay.... absolutely no heroes or good guys in this one....just villains killing villains all over the place:D

eternalfate 05-25-2018 06:44 PM

^ Was it better than the Suicide Squad movie? lol

PhoenixRising 05-25-2018 06:47 PM

Wow, that sounds cool, Dave. I think Quentin Tarantino should make a Suicide Squad movie.

But then why would Willa unfollow Stephen and Emily, Tia? If it was between her and the showrunners, why would she do that?

I'm gonna spend all summer getting caught up on Gotham, Tia. :P I'm not gonna have time for seven seasons of Smallville. Plus, I'll always be comparing it to the Arrowverse.

I don't ever remember Lois with red hair, Tia. :P I remember Iris West having red hair. But Lois was always a brunette, just like Selina. Heck, even Kate Bosworth was willing to dye her hair dark in Superman Returns.

Come to think of it, is it weird that most of Bruce Wayne's love interests are dark haired women who look like his mom? Diana, Selina, Talia, Zatanna, etc.

And I have to go to bed soon, so I'll see you both tomorrow! I'm off work next week! :yay:

Goodnight, Tia! Goodnight, Dave!

I liked the storyline of SS the movie better.... but this cartoon movie of course had far more DC villains

Night Alex...have a good sleep

Yeah... the unfollow I guess confirms it.:( I hope one day her story can come out about why she left.
Ciara Renee (Kendra) is another cast member who left Arrowverse in such a bad way.:( She said she'll never return and she had a bad experience that she won't talk about now but maybe in the future.....

Sad when people leaves because of such bad situations that is happening on or off set.

Actually it's 10 seasons of Smallville.:rotfl: A season a year.:P
It's good to compare and know that without Smallville Arrowverse wouldn't exist.:lmao:

Lana Lang is another character who was red hair in the comics but on the LnC show, she was blonde and on Smallville she was dark brown hair.
So she changed completely from how she was in the comics with hair color and personality to be quite honest.

There are SO MANY comics so for some characters I guess you can't really putpoint only one comic because it's been like over 80 years of these comics. So, I guess a writer can choose any adaption of the comic they want to go with.

Here goes your red hair Lois by the way.;)
