I thought in S1, the cast went to SDCC without having filmed anything (or even read any scripts) yet? I'm not sure if that was because it was a new show then, or because it was a midseason show.

It may be a moot point anyway since they're going to start with the crossover, so even if they would have started later, they may start earlier since there's more to shoot, and so it all cancels out.

Not sure, could be 13, could be 16. I don't think it'll be lower or higher than 13/16 though.

Hopefully neither. It should be 16 episodes. Nothing less.

Klemmer said last year he was glad not to be apart of crossover because they were shortened to 16 episodes and needed them all for their own story. I can't imagine them being shortened to 13, which would actually be 12 since they are apart of COIE, and them having enough time to tell season 5s story in 12 episodes.

I do expect Legends to start filming in July but we shall see.

According to YVRShoots, Legends is filming from July 15th to January 29th, 2020. So based on that, there is probably 15-16 episodes for S5.

For comparison's sake, S4, with 16 episodes, filmed from July 5th to January 24th, 2019.

So that means there will be some new material for SDCC... well probably? depends on how much they film since SDCC is earlier than usual this year with that July 18th start, however the Legends and a lot of the shows comes on the weekend... so I think by July 20, they will have probably something...

We probably won't get a trailer with any new footage then, since they're only at most 5 days into shooting. Even if the editor works super fast to get something out, it may not be in the final product anyway. But at least the cast knows what's happening

^ It's possible, I remember this happened prior to season 2 as well. The only footage we got was a tease of Damein Darhk vs Sara. Most of the footage from this trailer was season 1 with only that small snippet of season 2.

YT still has the trailer up.

I was hyped over that. lol
So, I guess it depends on if they actually film something good?

I was thinking the exact same thing as well.

I am not a fan of that... I think they should definitely have their own premiere episode first.

So obviously if that's the case, LoT will be filming out of order.
