If they go to the future I could see it being by accident because like everyone here I don't see why they would need to go to the future at this moment.

Yeah. if there is a season 2, probably they will go to the future then.
I actually think after they take out Vandal... it won't even be a need to go to different timelines. Which makes me think Vandal won't ever die until the series finale.

I wonder if we will be awarded with something like that just a single accident nothing to do with Savage trip to the future something happens with the ship and sends them to the future - then trouble and having to fix the ship - YES PLEASE We've been good, we promise and totally deserve this

I could see that happening the ship getting damaged that accidentally sends them to the future.
