It's like the show runners change female characters' hair cuts on purpose, to make it easier for us.
 It was the same with Scully on the X-Files.  Quote:

It's really the first time someone I deeply admired turned out to be part of something criminal, which I think is why it has hit me this hard. The other celebrities that have come out making some poor choices (to say it lightly) I have felt surprised/shocked over, but gotten over it because I really can't say I am/was even a fan of them. Like Mark Salling - didn't even like his character on Glee. lol So it's easier to get over. Although I did at times feel bad for Puck on the show. I was sad that he committed suicide though. Any death is sad, especially suicide as that hits me personally. Regardless of what they did...

Well, there was this moment in Smallville (S6?) where Chloe was worried about going crazy, like her mum....remember? So, insanity is a pattern here, unfortunately.

I am good with stuff like this because I am use to it.
It's pretty sad when you think about it. I actually still can watch the Cosby show... because I see Cliff Huxtable totally different. lol
