I was so confident and then that scene happened and I was like.... ummm... the whole middle of the episode I was a little conflicted but I kept thinking in the back of my mind "why did Clark find the piece of glass earlier?" that is what kept me going strong.

Yeah, the Kents think that Lex is delusional, but Clark having a best friend who thinks he saw a giant bat-demon when he was a kid, and dresses up like a bat every night, that's totally fine.
