Official Description

Tess (Cassidy Freeman) breaks into Watchtower, triggering an elaborate security system that Chloe (Allison Mack) installed, ultimately trapping the two women inside.

Chloe realizes that The Kandorians are downloading information from the Watchtower server, which prompts her to make a drastic move.

Oliver (Justin Hartley) confronts Zod (Callum Blue) and winds up clinging to life with a "Z" scorched into his chest.

Clark (Tom Welling) realizes Zod has given his soldiers super powers.

Definately an amazing episode!

Zod: While we've always known who Zod was in this episode we saw just how much of a lack of heart he has. He will do anything to stop anyone who stands in his way with no regards to the people who follow him or betray him. For him to kill Faora and only then realize she was pregnant just goes to further show his malace.

It's really hard for me to choose a favorite Superman villian because Zod is right there in my top 3. He has no soul and wants to take control of the planet. Too bad Lex Luthor never met him since this was the real threat, not Clark.

Chloe: Not really a fan of hers and haven't been for a while but I gotta admit she was pretty cool in this one. I always love her moments with Tess. It would have been so easy for her to leave Tess for dead but I'm kind of glad she didn't since I'm a fan of Tess. It was sad to see Watchtower self destruct. Wonder what Chlo will do now.

Oliver: We finally got a Zod/Green Arrow encounter! Loved it. Sucks for Ollie though because though he's human he got burned, literally, but a superior race. I hope Ollie will be okay.

Clark: Seriously loved him in this one. For once we didn't get to see him as the Blur but rather as a fellow Kryptonian who just wanted to do what was right for his people, something completely different than the malice plans Zod has.

Final Thoughts: This episode was beautiful. It had everything from the touching moments of the possible hope of the future for Kryptonians on earth (ie Faora's child) to the power hungry Zod who cares of nothing but his own ego.

For this being Justin Hartley's first story, he did one heck of a job. Definately one of the best episodes of this season which is amazing and of itself considering this whole season has been incredible!

Who saw Zod's eyes when he burned Checkmate? That was pretty intense. I gonna miss Feora.

I'm gonna miss Faora too. She became very likable in what few episodes we had. And I was so looking forward toward the prospect of having a new generation of Kryptonian babies on earth but Zod took away the fantasy. This guy shows no mercy whatsoever!

What I loved though, was the short moment when he realized that she had been pregnant and how devastated he was then. That was when you could see his soul for a second, before he buried it again.

I liked this episode, actually. I thoroughly enjoyed all the Chloe/Tess scenes, Tess really seems to know what's going on. I'm not sure if people were surprised that Chloe brought Tess back, but I sure wasn't.

Not much else, to say, I guess, except Zod is seriously awesome!villainous

^- Yeah I totally agree with everything you said. We saw Zod's soul for a second once he put his evilness aside and then because of what he had done he quickly buried his soul. It's clear he has one but it's like that timeless battle when it comes to the power hungry- they have that good side of them but the darkness always triumphs.

Though I'm no Chloe fan I did enjoy her scenes with Tess. Very well played. With Tess being my favorite character I wasn't ready for her to die in this episode just yet so I'm glad Chloe brought her back.

When it comes to the villians of Superman it's very hard not to love them!

So I meant to comment on this ep but never got around to it. I have to say though that the moment Zod realized he killed both Faora and his baby was absolutely heartbreaking.
