Sorry Rachel. I was running when I typed that (not not *literally*). Anyway, SW might be returning as Zod and has not mentioned it because the show wants to keep it a mystery.

True true, so when is more of that davis/doomsday vs clark fan fic come out?

I didn't have a problem with that, but after an entire season spend on Davis I feel that we deserved a much better pay-off. Instead it was like Davis dies, and then cut rightaway to Jimmy's death and not even giving the ending of the Doomsday arc a moment

the Doomsday arc was just ended the worst way...
and Davis all of a sudden being a psycho? when the same ep he was willing to sacrifice himself?
it was always made clear the choices he made were a result of Doomsday and his influence

After reading that interview, I'm not so sure if Sam is back as Zod. I think he might have been keen on the idea before but after he read the finale script, probably not so much. He sounds really disappointed or should I say even disgusted about how the writers wrote Davis in the finale. That could be the reason why they didn't show his face in the end.

^I agree. Also I don't think Sam would have been as vocal about expressing his displeasure with the show and his story arc if he was coming back. Just my opinion though.

And they knew that Doomsday Vs Clark fight was what fans were waiting for

Apparently so.

A poster from TWoP said that Sam did an interview on Ustream. It's 2 hours 10 mins and he talks about Star Wars games, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek movie and other things but apparently nothing about Smallville (I wonder why). You can listen it here:

I did, but they had their ideas. It is not for me to say what should happen. Throughout the season, they were very receptive to what I had to say. This was not a battle that I won. But I did my damnedest to take what I was given and run with it.

They probably thought that Clark not winning right away within the first two milliseconds equals "big throwdown".

Naomi I am disappointed about so many things this season, that I have given up being angry with them

I despise them for what they did to Davis' character, but like I said, it was the easiest solution to the "problem". Because there are so many consequences:

- Davis is gone.
- Jimmy is gone, the age difference between him and Clark was explained.
- Clark is brooding.
- There's drama in storage for Chloe (considering she's all alone now).

You gotta admit, on an economic level this was the best choice. Unfortunately, the fans don't want economically sensible

Ken I think that interview is a big hint that Sam won't be back next season. He wouldn't be allowed/able to voice his disappointment about that arc in this way if he were coming back. And if it was planned that he was to come back, I am telling you, that's probably out of the question now
