I think starting S8 with those episodes (except maybe Bride) might help. It might screw things up a bit with Chloe's arc but for Clark, it works best.

Yeah Bride you have to watch after the Clois S8 arc for sure! The issue is if they did that they would have to hold back the freshness of the season. They would have had to delay him starting at the daily planet/Clois.......etc.

I don't think it would delay it all that much. I feel like that Lana arc was over a few days. If you slip the episodes before 8x01 (I'm referring to Clark's scenes mainly) it fits. Keeping Bride where it is should change anything for Lois between when she leaves and returns.

I agree... because anytime I re-watch, I skip the Lana arc altogether so...

It feels way too random to the rest of the season. I also skip it after Bride. Had they started with in right after S7, I wouldn't feel so jarred by Clark's (writers') choices.

^ Completely agree. I actually skip that and the Doomsday episode altogether and then I enjoy the season completely. lol Only Lana arc episode I really watch is "Legion" after Bride. So I go from Legion to 8x15.

I didn't like any of the Lana arc episodes, it felt off and I just zoned out of the episodes.

Yes to this video! This guy perfectly summed up how I felt about season 8! Especially how terrible the Lana arc is... although I don't dislike Lana as much as he did, he's correct on what her appearance did to season 8 and a lot of the fans feel this way. Season 8 was on a great start and Clark was growing up and then Lana returned... the viewers were pissed and some of the viewers left with her because it was a mess to watch Clark go backward after all his progress just for a Clana closure that should've happened a long time ago.
His reaction to the Jimmy and Davis stuff was also on point.

The Jimmy and Davis stuff actually pisses me of so much more than the Clana regression arc. People make backward decisions about relationships all of the time time, but with Jimmy, bad decisions ultimately lead to his death. There's just no coming back from that.

Actually agree with you on that one.
The Jimmy stuff was such a slap in the face. So the whole time he was only James Olsen and his little brother is the real Jimmy Olsen? What kind of nonsense is that.
The series finale showed how stupid that decision was when they had Aaron return to play Jimmy... that was just terrible.

Jimmy Olsen had a tough season 8 for it to end that way?
All that Davis/Doomsday build for it to end that way.
