It does! I feel like young love can sometimes be very intense especially because its the first time you have those kind of feelings. When you're young and still trying to figure out who you are and your place in the world its a difficult time to find someone that would truly make sense for you. You have to love them with your heart but "work" together. I actually think its more realistic that Clana didn't last but the experience helped Clark learn how to navigate relationships better and prepared him for Lois.

Clana was intense and I love all the feelings. It was frustrating, sad, but also had so much love. Reminds me of Stelena.


Clois I love how they got to know each other before they had romantic feelings. They never tried to be the best version of themselves around each other which is common in the beginning of relationships, they found love with each other after knowing that part of each other. Reminds me of Mondler


2 complete different relationships and I loved each of them for different reasons.

^ Nicole I agree with you... with Clana they had a beautiful first love, she was the girl next door and he had an beautiful idea picture of how it would be to be with her and I loved it... especially during the early seasons. I admit that I didn't like when Clark was stalkery... however I actually did love when we got to see Clark and Lana talk at the graveyard to Lana's parents who had past and they both open up about being alone and their loss... I felt that was the first time they truly connected outside of Clark's far away crush.


With Clark and Lois what made them special was that unlike Lana, Clark didn't see Lois and picture how their love life would be... it just happened naturally over time and I loved that slow burn and just preferred it overall because they were imperfect people and they knew that about one another and still fell in love anyway.

Yes! And I'm actually a bit tired of it... I don't feel that everyone who had the quote on quote "epic love story" during season 1 should always end up together because I believe sometimes a lot of people out grow each other... I feel it's lazy writing (at times) for the writers to revert back to the couple from the earlier seasons when we saw how it didn't work before....


Like if Clark/Lana ended up together, nothing could've convinced me that they would've stayed together since we've seen them try and fail many many times. I felt season 7 was the biggest one because Lana knew everything about Clark, but it still wasn't enough.

I agree after she knew everything about Clark and it still didn't work out.. (I think Lexanna just changed Lana too much tbh) I could never believe they would have their happily ever after. (much like Ross & Rachel on Friends...after awhile its just hard to believe that they would ever stick)

I think generally, the mistake with the writing is always trying to force unnecessary drama between the couple, Clark's secret was a millstone around Clana's neck (thankfully we sorta dodged a bullet with Clois). Moving her towards Lex may not have done any of the characters favours with the merry go round but Lana's character got some serious development, for better or for worse. Unfortunately, that also made her incompatible with Clark and the path he was on. S7 was as good a jumping off point as any other, S8 should have played out differently with both character realising they weren't meant to be, keep the super suit but leave the kryptonite poison bit on the writing floor. Have them walk away as friends. it would have worked wonders for the both of them.

Agreed although I understood why it helped them go full circle from a story perspective from the necklace to her becoming his kryoptonite. The super suit kind of bothered me because it left a lot of plot holes in later seasons...why couldnt she become part of the team or why wasn't she used in S9 to help control the Kardashians or Red K Clark? I understand them not wanting to be friends after because honestly I think realistically this is sometimes the best thing... but these extreme circumstances it doesnt make sense she wouldnt stay in contact with Chloe and help when needed. She should have been killed off or depowered.

I'm glad the writers kept Lois's integrity in tact and didn't drag her into a direct love triangle with Clark and Lana. Although Lois had already developed feelings for Clark when Lana returned in Bride, she gave him all the space he needed to figure out what he wanted.

If you read the comics, that didn't even last long. I think it could explain why Lana was not there to help fight the Kandorians in the alternate verse. The suit's energy had worn out within months.

I wish they had just ONE mention of Lana and the suit losing energy or something... and then if that was the case did she still have Krypto in her? This was really a loose end that needed to be tied up.

I think I had it wrong initially, they had Metallo absorb the Kryptonite since he practically lives on the stuff and without the Kryptonite, the suit lost its power source. The whole was jst convoluted. They should have found another way to move Clark and Lana away from one another.

Agreed, Honestly I think if they wanted final closure it should have been a lot earlier in S8.... and the suit was just odd.
