I love the scene where they meet. Borrowing a line from Arrow here:
"The moment I looked at her everything changed. The whole universe changed."

That is definitely what happened to Clark when he met Lois even if he didn't know it at the time.

I wouldn't say Clark acted uninterested. Watch that scene again. What Clark was was uncomfortable and unused to seeing Lois like that. Note the way he shuffles in his seat and put his hands over his lap after she leaves his lap. That's not the actions of someone who's not attracted to or uninterested in someone.
