Ugh, when I think about this storyline it makes me sad that Smallville wasn't allowed to use Bruce Wayne because of WB stupid rules and had to use Oliver Queen instead. The irony is that the only reason Smallville existed at all was because WB's planned Bruce Wayne TV project got scrapped back in 1999 and they chose to make Smallville instead. It makes me wish they had done Gotham and Smallville at the same time back in the 2000s so we could have had Clark/Bruce moments, because that's what all the Clark/Oliver stuff I've heard about reminds me of. Oh, what could've been...

^ I believe the rights to Bruce were tied up for the movies.

And yet, just three years after Smallville went off the air, WB developed Gotham for the FOX network. Like I said, WB was originally going to do a Bruce Wayne TV show until it got scrapped after Darren Arnofsky began developing his Batman: Year One film project back in 1998-1999. I actually remember reading about that, and that's why WB developed Smallville instead. But Batman: Year One also ended up getting scrapped and Smallville could have and should have been allowed to use Bruce Wayne before Batman Begins went into production.

I love Bruce Wayne but Smallville did a great job of Clark and Oliver so I wasn't thinking about Bruce all that much. lol |

^ I sort of understood why Bruce Wayne couldn't be even mentioned on the show.

I sided with Oliver more on a lot of arguments... b/c he was human and had to act on his own stregnth... and in his world...sometimes its kill or be killed.
I would hope that darker side of Oliver would kill a Joker or Gotham Jerome to prevent further murders in Gotham and wherever they go. In Man of Steel...I supported Superman killing Zod at the end to protect that family. |

^ YESSSSSSSS! Thank you Dave! Same here... I love Clark but I also sided with Oliver the majority of the time... Clark just was too much at times.
Also I agree with the rest of what you said. |

Yeah, I can see why they used Oliver in that capacity in Smallville, Tia. But I'll always wish that the old fogies at WB would've let them use Bruce Wayne. __________________
