I was really impressed by Christopher in those episodes. He really held his own against John Glover and the others.

He was a superb actor, I have such admiration for him doing those scenes and continued to act after his accident.

Chris was always a great actor, but it was impressive to see him play Dr. Swann with such a mixture of sympathy and menace, where you were never really certain whose side Swann was on. To do all of that from a wheelchair when he's not able to move his arms or legs was amazing.

For me I always knew Swann was on the right side of things and that's probably because Christopher Reeve was portraying him. I had trust in the writers with Virgil Swann and from the episodes and even afterward, I think I was definitely correct in that assessment. |
