Hagrid will always live. And really that's true. He's one of the well-loved characters from both the books and the movies.

He's 71 years old now. Plus he's also retired from acting because of his osteoarthritis. He hasn't done a movie since 2014 but he does a bit of TV just as long as it doesn't interfere with his condition.
