Also I feel like they left Leta's story open-ended. Other than that heartbreaking backstory about her and being Theseus' fiance, why did they really write her in for part 2? They only added her to kill her eventually.

It's sad of course but her character was easily dispensable. Plus she's a Lestrange but the movie didn't state if she's related to Bellatrix since the time period of the movie is way beyond Bellatrix' age.
