But they were friends before Hogwarts. Imagine if they were all in the same house? Then perhaps Snape & Lily would see each other more and hang out more too?

Yeah Snape's in Slytherin and Lily's in Gryffindor (with the rest of the Marauders). So Lily gets to hang with them more than Snape and especially after their fallout.

I'm sure. It wasn't really easy for them once the problems started when Snape became a Death Eater. Sometimes I wonder what if Lily (and James) didn't die, will he still continue to ignore them forever?
