He had to turn it like that because he is looking for a safe place to take care of the creatures without getting caught so he made that suitcase that way.

Yes and really Newt shouldn't be punished for illegally taking care of these creatures because he's taking care of them. He should have some agreement with the Ministry about this which I was hoping the movies will address.

Exactly. Although it's still wrong that he just takes these creatures but he will return them eventually, he just wants to take care of them especially if they are sick or not doing well.

I was kind of hoping Theseus was gonna work on that with the Ministry since he is a part of them and can at least ask permission and say that his brother isn't harming the creatures.
