And cinemas are in an enclosed space so masks are definitely needed. If just one person who's infected/asymptomatic coughs or sneezes there and is not wearing a mask...

They'd also have to disinfect the cinemas after the movie ends. It's costly and repetitive but if they really want to operate, it must be done.

Oh yeah some smaller and cheaper cinemas don't. But if they want income then they need to clean otherwise people won't watch.

A British rock album from the 80s or even 90s where everyone is smoking.
