More often I watch TV shows and movies to see for myself, especially those that I really want to see. Otherwise if it's just something I'm curious, I read the reviews to gauge whether I'll see it or not.

And usually when the show is so hyped up, then I see it for myself. That happened with me for Westworld. I don't like westerns in general but I did finish S1 and it was good just not for me.
