Yep. That's why the books are always better because everything's there and it's all detailed. In the movies a lot of parts are cut off to make it all fit into the 2 hours required.

Alright moving on to the next "mistake".

Book fans were quick to point this out actually. They changed a lot of Ron in the movies. They made him the "comedic" best friend and perennial "sidekick" when he was so much more than that in the books.

I remember that I read one post that was long that they mention about Ron in the movie and the book when they change lot when it comes to him.. And I started to noticed that when I reread from book 1-4..

For sure the books are always superior to the movies and I understand that they needed to change some lines from the book because they have a time limit for the movies but that's the problem of the script writer. It's noticeable if you've read the books but not-so if you're only a casual HP fan and haven only seen the movies.

Yeah, true that.. Plus I wonder if they ever talk to the author about it or would be okay to change it??

I think the producers and script writers work very closely with JKR and she approves the script that they do even though movie-wise JKR never had a role so she's kind of like the 'consultant' so to speak (like GRRM on GoT).

So the script writers and producers still have a lot of say for the movies. It was only in FBAWTFT where JKR was more hands-on with the story.

Even tho I wish that some can be similar from the book exactly..

The advantage of FBAWTFT is that there is no book based on the movies so JKR is free to add stories to her already established HP universe.

And that's why now we're questioning if what she adds is canon or just OMG moments. :look:

Which that made sense bec some of scenes would be OMG moments.. But still..

I can understand if they change some of the dialogue from the book to the movie but I guess changing it completely doesn't make sense to me. Why not just follow the actual dialogue from the book? :confused:
