I kinda love that when the first book was released, as a HP fan, we know very little back then.
 Back then when I read the first book, I thought HP was gonna be wholesome and end with no one dying. __________________

During the release of the early books, over here, it wasn't a big deal. But I think by the time the 4th or 5th book was released,, HP was already huge and has a big fanbase so every book release became an event. Bookstores opened at 12 am just to release HP. It doesn't usually happen here.

IKR? Every HP book release was like this. The bookstores were open all day and everyone was in-line. I still remember when the last book came out, there was a long line for it and the bookstore was open the whole day.

Same with me. The earlier books didn't have a pre-order option before but I learned my lesson with the long lines so the last 2 books (I think), I pre-ordered.

And the reason there were lines was just because fans wanted the books right away and wanted to actually line up for it. Most of them didn't mind lining up because of the excitement.

I also like the excitement back then especially when there was a new book. Everyone was reading and it was a matter of who was gonna finish first.

I also have a friend who reads the books and we'd always ask what chapter we were on just to gauge how far along we are. It was fun!
