Me too. I can agree to her taking a break but not quit. She's a great actress and I'm sure there will be tons of projects lined-up for her.

I think she'll always be seen as Hermione by many though, no matter how well she does in other things. Just as Sarah Michelle Gellar will always be known as Buffy, for example. When you play a character who becomes a pop culture icon, especially in a big franchise and/or a show with a large and devoted fanbase, it's sort of inevitable that you'll most often be recognised as that character.

I agree. It's the character she's played the longest and the movies were all hits so she'll always be remembered for it.

That's true. But I think people are becoming more accepting of her new movie roles, and she's been making great choices IMO. She'll always be remembered as Hermione because everybody loves Hermione, but I think she managed to be seen as her own person now.

It must have also been surreal for Emma because she started out young and was this character for so long. She'll always look at HP that started it all for her.
