From the time Peter betrayed them you mean? Yes and Sirius got arrested and Remus just went off on his own since both James and Sirius were gone.

The others was really blindsided by Peter. And he only felt remorse towards the end but it was too late as he died too.

Yes, probably during his last few years at Hogwarts, he felt left out most of the time and feel like he didn't belong. And most likely a lot of other reasons too and that's why he eventually joined the Death Eaters and betrayed his friends.
