I think the writers really wanted to do that with them, and it certainly showed with Dan/Emma. They were scared, of course.

I wish that scene in Godric Hallow with Harry finding mom's letter was kept, I bet that was also a H/Hr moment. It is a shame it wasn't even kept as a delete scene, we know they shot it as there are some photos of it.

You can find that photo here, along with some other interesting ones - that one where Ron and Hermione comfort Harry after the tournament looks nice AND when Harry mourns Sirius:
