It's nice we got that one moment standing up for Spike to everybody.

It's strange though it's Season 5 though.

It's a turning point.

It just feels more like a Season 7 type thing.

Then again Giles basically was the only one that hadn't accepted Spike wasn't going anywhere.

Buffy wanted him in her life & now that he won his soul back they didn't have the fact he didn't have one to use as an excuse when she couldn't stay away anymore.

She tried not to help him but the connection was too strong between Spuffy already.

Some fans thought she should have got him out of the basement right away.

But I think at that point in S5 it was kinda an extreme circumstance getting away from Glory. They needed his help.

That's very true.

I love how easy even if Buffy never ever wanted to admit it she trusted Spike long before then.

Plus just could feel like she could depend on him even after the AR she wanted him to look after Dawn.

Buffy was sad when she found out from Clem he was gone & wanted to know when he would be back.

Do you think Buffy should have gotten Spike out of the basement right away?

You mean the HS basement? Never really thought about it. I don't think so, but glad she did.

Yep. Fans were bitching about how Buffy should have got him out from the start Season 7.

It's not like I would have hated it.

I felt lucky she didn't want him try to stake him & was worried about his wounds.

Buffy even assumed he would help save Dawn.

I think it didn't take her long to see Spike never meant to hurt her or she wouldn't have still trusted him with her sister after & wouldn't have been sad he was gone.

Buffy may have realized that Spike never meant to hurt her, but I imagine it's still a difficult event to get past for anyone. She's human.

The argument was that she helped Angel from the start when he came back.

I think Buffy has changed & things with Spike were just a mess in a diff. way.

This art. :bawl::love:
