This may be a stupid question, but what was all that crashing at the beginning of Dead Things supposed to be?

They were on the floor having sex and destroying his place with passion?

God, that would've been a better finale for Season 6. Spuffy sex almost ends the world.

I thought that was b/c Buffy was invisible and they couldn't see what they were doing.

Spuffy fought physically during their sex Season 6.

Buffy wet enough to just have Spike in her in one thrust in Smashed already.

Well everybody still over analyzes Spuffy and Buffy in general.

EJabby didn't even get together but were left open at least with things so unresolved.

The writers have Abby not feeling she hated him anymore.



Buffy didn't want it to be like that.

Spuffy still knocked stuff around in the comics when made mad passionate love.

I wish they would go knock another building down.

Joss and even SMG said fighting was always foreplay for Spuffy.

That's like part of the unintentional buildup.

I feel like it's not shocking they would enjoy fighting Season 6 during the fracking.

It's for one thing the whole slayer/vampire thing with Spike still without his soul it makes perfect sense & her screwed up b/c of her depression. Buffy had always enjoyed playing kick the Spike it's just lick the Spike was added too.



Yeah it was unhealthy but basically just part of the growing/changing of their relationship. It was only this way b/c Buffy was his inspiration to be good but she was lost & that made Spike lost too. Spuffy both were struggling with figuring out there place in the world was part of their story arc too.

Buffy used him but you will never convince me she didn't also have feelings for him b/c that's why Spike was the only one that could make her feel alive.

Well we really have Canon behind this too. She admitted she had feelings for him & the whole Still in love with Spike line shows Buffy thinks there was something really there between them even Season 6 with bad going on at the time.

Plus we saw Spuffy connect early Season 6 & forming an almost friendship but the attraction got in the way b/c it had been building from the moment they met.

Those times got me still shipping them when things turned dark.

It's no wonder it was explosive!

Buffy - Wrecked Shooting Script

Back in the down and dirty with Buffy and Spike. Buffy, blouse buttoned and skirt now on, searches the debris anxiously. She moves like she's been through the fight of her life, stiff and sore. Spike, still appearing quite naked, stays reclined in the rubble, watching her in that way he does. He's in deep. Deeper, now.


BUFFY

SPIKE
What's the hurry, luv?

BUFFY
The hurry is, I left Dawn all night
and don't call me "luv."

SPIKE
(stung)
Didn't seem to take issue with it
last night. Or with any of the other
little nasties we whispered.

Buffy takes this in, freaking. Last night. SO wrong. And SO completely, mind-numbingly wild. Everything she's needed. Escape. Release. Ecstasy. With Spike.

BUFFY

Spike can't hide his disappointment at her attitude.

SPIKE

Spike's expression hardens and he sits up and catches Buffy by the wrists, yanking her toward his naked self. She holds herself away from him.

Spike's hand disappears below frame, starts caressing her. She looks affected, despite herself.

SPIKE
Not exactly what I had in mind.
Buffy weakens for a beat. Then she finds her resolve, HITS HIS hand away.

BUFFY
Stop-
SPIKE
Make me.

He moves to touch her again, she hits him away again. They end up in a tussle, sexual tension building until they can't take it. They kiss - it heats up faster than a microwave. Goddamn. She lies on top of him - feels him respond - which SHOCKS her back to herself. She pulls away.

BUFFY
No. No. I have to...
SPIKE
Stay. I'm stuck here. Sun's up.

They're both drunk with it. Hot, pressing against each other. They kiss again.

This is like Spuffy smut.

SPIKE
I may be dirt, but you're the one who

Buffy takes this in, shaken. It's true. She shakes him off.

Yeah, the fighting before sex makes sense in their unhealthy relationship. I'm just being nitpicky about how it was filmed.

Spuffy was never gonna be easy even if Buffy wasn't screw up at the time.

The issue with Spike not having a soul was gonna be there.

Buffy abandonment issues as well.

Buffy doesn't start being mean to Spike again til after they kissed.

She was trying to push him away before she got hurt partly b/c every man at that point even Giles hurt her.

I wish we got to see a healthy relationship start with them on screen.

I do love that the Comics have had some good stuff though exploring this.

It's the SL in Season 8 and 9 that brought them together I don't like.

The actual buildup worked b/c Spuffy were there for each other & tried to be just friends. I like that there was those times and not just them getting back together.

That's fun to read in fic but it's been a while and they need to take it slow IMO.

I don't know why they think we don't want buildup.

I honestly feel like that's the best part.

It's one of the biggest reasons I love Spuffy.

That buildup for them is everywhere.

Even back in Season 2.

Yeah, you used to have to wait months and months for a first kiss.

The buildup to Spuffy was perfect. First, you wonder if they are really going there and it's when will they get there.
