Willow was pretty good to Buffy Season 2.
It was really the start of Season 3 that things started to go bad with the whole blaming Buffy for leaving them all summer at the party that things changed forever even if they all tried pretend nothing had it just all kept adding up & is why we finally got Season Empty Places. __________________

A Place Called Home by DauntlessGrace
Summary: A response to a challenge by Mia Vaan. Following Buffy's death in "The Gift", the Scoobies make the decision to hand Dawn over to social services. With a little bit of help, Spike takes matters into his own hands to ensure it doesn't happen. 41 chap. Complete Family by Aventerine Summary: Spike takes care of Dawn after Buffy dies. A year later they are living in a different city and doing well until one day Buffy shows up on their door step. 2 chap WIP First story: During Death: Complete 20 chap. It's on going series. The Void Verse by EffulgentEllie When Buffy sacrifices herself by jumping into Glory's portal, she finds herself stuck as a ghost and chained to Spike. He can't see or hear her, but she witnesses everything he does. Picks up after Season 5 Episode 22 "The Gift" and the sequel will flow into an alternative Season 6. __________________

There is one that really think just never would have happened.
It just started with 2 chap. The Scoobies get Angel to kill Dawn & plan to blame Spike. Buffy & Spike catch them. I'm sorry but I just can't see this in Canon.  Giles brought up killing Dawn & it seemed like the others might of been willing except Spike but it came down to what Buffy wanted luckily. __________________

No I don't think they would do that. I wasn't sure in the past but I think I've read too much of this writing. So much Scooby Hate in Spuffy fic lately. __________________
